Craig joins the Frontier Skin and Cancer team with over 20 years of medical experience. As a Board Certified Physician Assistant his extensive experience ranges from leading Army Forward Surgical Teams in Afghanistan to treating patients in the most remote areas of Alaska. He currently also serves as a senior leader and flight medicine provider in the Arizona Air National Guard. His extensive experience and dedication to excellent patient care make him an asset to the Frontier team.
Craig grew up in Southern California and spent a great deal of time vacationing, water skiing and off-roading in the Colorado River Valley from Yuma to Bullhead City. He attended undergrad at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania before joining the Army as a Medical Service Corp Officer. He served as a Medical Platoon leader and Executive Officer of a new Forward Surgical Team, leading them to Afghanistan after 9-11 to provide surgical care to most seriously injured soldiers and civilians on the battlefield. He continued his education by becoming a Physician Assistant though the Army earning an additional undergraduate and a Master’s degree in medicine. He continued in the Army deploying again with Airborne Infantry units to both Iraq and Afghanistan. He managed traumas, mass casualties, infectious disease as well as dermatological conditions. He later joined the Air National Guard serving in both Oregon and Arizona. He continues his 25 years of military service while serving in the 162nd Medical Group in Tucson which provides elite flight training for the F-16 pilots of the world. He also practiced Remote Medicine in northern Alaska for nearly 15 years and spent the last 10 years as a volunteer Fire Fighter.
When not working Craig enjoys spending time with his wife of 23 years and their 4 children. He loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, fishing, hunting, flying his airplane and taking adventurous vacations with his wife and family.
